Annual subscription now available to remove the Try It! tab

The Try It! tab is just a little something we have set to appear in every free Web App that is created to help us spread the word about TheAppBuilder. We have now made it even cheaper if you want to remove the tab.

While the tab is simple and unobtrusive we do understand that there may be circumstances when you just don’t want it in your app, for example if it’s an app for your business, or you are creating the app for a client.

A payment of $5 per month will remove the tab, or if you want to make a $10 saving we have introduced an annual plan for $50.

To activate this service just login to your account on TheAppBuilder and select the ‘Edit’ button from the side-menu. Then you just need to click the ‘Try It!’ button, and select the plan that suits you.

Web Apps to remain FREE

web app to remain freeGood news! TheAppBuilder web app service is to remain free of charge. Having recently surveyed our entire customer base and considered the fantastic feedback, we have made the awesome decision to continue providing the service at no charge. Zero. Zilch. Zip…nothing!

This means that you will be able to continue updating your web app and distributing it to your customers and followers at absolutely no cost.

Plus, a huge bonus is that you will also be able to create as many new web apps as you want without having to pay a set-up fee or any further charges – it’s all free!

Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to get the latest updates on TheAppBuilder and find out first about new app features.

Personal app links now available

One of the most frequent comments we have been receiving from users of TheAppBuilder is do with the size of the web-link we provide for you to open and promote your web app.

Putting our hands up, we had to agree that this wasn’t the nicest feature of TheAppBuilder. So, taking your feedback on board we have re-launched this feature to provide you with a short and sensible web-link which uses the name of your app for additional personalisation.

From now, you can head to the ‘Go Live’ menu when logged into your account and you will be provided with your new short link. This will follow the format http://myapp.is/AppName. This is illustrated below.

Don’t forget to maximise the promotional opportunity of your app by posting this link on Twitter, Facebook, your website, blog and any other media you use to connect with your followers.

Build Mobile interview with CTO Michael Barr

Build Mobile’s Markus Zsombor was one of the first journalists to interview us when we launched TheAppBuilder earlier this year. Six months on and he has written a follow-up feature, this time interviewing our CTO Michael Barr.

A great quote from Markus which made us smile in the office: “I must say they’ve been working so hard that the product is now completely transformed.”  Blood, sweat and tears Markus, that’s how hard!

It is great that Markus has seen how far TheAppBuilder has come in the past six months. He was even so impressed as to say, “Those of you who dream of a successful startup better pay attention to TheAppBuilder”. A great compliment indeed!

Click here to read the full article in which Michael Barr discusses the latest product updates and future plans with Markus.
